The life of Edward Haigh pretty much went like this and for the most part, it's true. Except for the parts that aren't.

His parents didn't pass away of old age. And Edward, while he was left a large amount of money in their passing, did not just 'disappear'. At least, not to those who knew the truth.

Edward's parents were murdered brutally in a home robbery, and people believed that Edward was murdered in the home robbery gone wrong too. Truthfully, it was because he had killed the home intruder and did his best to make the man look like him -- the way that the Haighs were not as beloved as the gossip rags claimed them to be made things a lot easier. Edward shouldn't have gotten away with switching the bodies, but people were happy to see the annoying goody-two-shoes Haighs gone.

A "rumor" started that one of their neighbors, the Valants, were the ones who hired the mercenary to come and kill them. The rumor stopped once the Valants were then killed by the same mercenary company they had hired. The stories were changed; those who were not in the small group of people around the Haighs told others that Edward simply disappeared, and his parents died of old age. No one was going to look for anything. They were covering up a story that didn't actually need to be covered up.

But because of this, young Edward took the time to study and figure out the best ways to move onto a new life. A life that people would not expect him in. Thank god he was overly intelligent. Otherwise, the next life wasn't going to last long.
Jayson Sherwin was a political adviser and business/Alliance consultant that seemingly came out of nowhere. Formerly an author, Jayson was brought on as a freelancer to help a small organization take over a small town, and his ruthlessness got the attention of those with rather deep pockets. Jayson specialized in flipping businesses into better performing one, and it was only a matter of time before the Alliance got wind of him. Because ultimately, the military was a business. And Jayson knew business.

Brought in to clean up and rebuild the security department of a smaller branch of the Alliance, Jayson did exactly as he was asked. He was never given military or political secrets, much to his dismay, but it did give him an in to how these types of things worked. But Jayson lived a solitary life, and a rich and powerful man like him had started to get a lot of enemies. On top of that, Jayson's awful management of his life and body seemed to turn against him. In 2640, only 2 years after he had been hired to clean house, Jayson Sherwin died of a heart attack.

Following his death, Jayson's involvement with the Alliance has been struck from the books; another life deemed not worthy of remembering by the Alliance.

That was fine with him. He had other lives to live.

As a side note, most of his books have been destroyed by the Alliance, though rumor has it you can still get a copy of "War: The Art of Business" on Terminus in the antique bookshop.

One of the best lounge singers of his time, Reede Rodden was a man that no one knew where he came from, but no one really cared. Singing like the old Earth lounge singers of the history HoloVids, Reede took great pleasure in entertaining people -- and in private, entertaining both men and women from when the sun went down, to when it came up again. And considering sometimes the cruise ship he lives on would be in orbit around planets that didn't have a 'sun rise', it meant he was very good at pleasurable entertainment of all forms.

His residency on The Festival started in 2641, bringing a large amount of money to the Intergalactic Cruise Corporation, and because of that Reede was gifted a seat on their board of directors. His biggest desire though was to continue the life of luxury and fun, though he found it lonely at times. It was soon that Reede fell madly in love with a woman named Amy, who was one of his backup dancers on stage. Their love affair attracted as many people as Reede's stage show did, and it didn't take long for Amy and Reede to get married.

But like all of his "lives", it also wasn't long before Reede knew he had to move on. But he surprised himself; he really did love Amy, and didn't want to hurt her by disappearing. But, it so happened that he knew of a man who was also in love with her too. A man named Jonathan Drews.

Reede decided to make a deal with Jonathan. Let him pay for Jonathan to be completely made over in his appearance, and he'd let Jonathan take over his life, no questions asked. Jonathan would be paid very well, would be given all the correct paperwork. The only other thing he had to agree to, was to let his life as "Jonathan" die, and promise to love and take care of Amy until he died of old age. Jonathan eagerly agreed.

The next time the cruise docked for a long period of time, everything happened. Jonathan was made over to look exactly like Reede, and took over his life. Reede wished the man good luck, and disappeared.

So, in 2646, Reede left, while the "New Reede" took over, with no-one the wiser. As of 2656, "New" Reede is still touring the galaxy on The Festival entertaining the thousands of guests that go on each of the cruises, and is still madly in love with his wife, Amy. She is expecting their first child. Reede has visited The Festival since leaving under a one week long persona, very happy to see how Jonathan was making out to be. Hell, the man was an even better singer than he was.
Chandler Colmer was a man that no one paid attention to. He liked it that way. A dishonorably discharged Alliance officer who had come up on bad times, Chandler had been long past his glory days. He was battling demons that not even he could put a name to, and had ended up on Terminus in 2647 after bumming ride off of an unsuspecting ship. It didn't take long for Chandler to get into trouble, and he found himself face to face with the crime lord at the time, known only as Mr. Shadow.

Mr. Shadow, despite his mysterious name, didn't look to be that mysterious of a man. He ordered Chandler to be killed, without realizing that Chandler could hold his own. So, Mr. Shadow decided to hire on Chandler full time as his personal hit man. Because a man as unassuming and weak looking as Chandler could come in handy. For three years, the organization blossomed because of Chandler's skills.

Until one mission, Chandler was sent to Belos to interrogate a rival. It turned out it was actually Mr. Shadow sending Chandler to his death. To Mr. Shadow, he was told Chandler was murdered and that the job was done. Chandler had started to become a problem, but luckily no one would miss him now that he had outgrown his usefulness.

2650 is when Chandler went missing, and Mr. Shadow was more than thankful that not a single fucking soul missed the poor bastard.

Then, 2651 the man then known as Mr. Shadow was murdered, though only the murderer knew about it. The price to pay when only a few men had ever seen his face. That same year, a new man took over the Terminus underground, assuming the name of Mr. Shadow: an unassuming bookstore owner named Shayne Jelks. This time, things were going to be run differently.
